The 15 diverse songs, which are divided in two distinct parts "Sunrise" and "Sunset" are each introduced by orchestral instrumentals. The album is recorded both at Chris' home studio in Ireland and at Mark Knopfler's British Grove facility in London, and has again been produced by Chris Porter (George Michael, Pet Shop Boys, Simple Minds).

Preluded by the lead single "The Keeper of The Keys" – "about the right of every human being to a life of dignity and to the right of education" – the album is a potent mix of versatility and quintessentially Chris de Burgh!
